I'm not going to buy steak in pubs and restaurants anymore
Post Body
Last week me and the SO went to a pub that had been recommended to us for their food. I was celebrating getting a new job and I was set on STEAK. I forked out £16 for a nice sirloin. Bit pricey, but it was supposed to be a good place. It came overcooked (medium, should have been medium-rare), tough and bland.
Yesterday I picked up two steaks for £7 at asda, cooked them medium rare at home, they were juicy and bloody beautiful. And that's just asda's steak! I've been thinking about that steak ever since.
Think I'm going to stick to beef and ale pie in pubs from now on.
