You can’t move. You would feel more desperate but you haven’t been able to move for hours. The panic has worn away and the sinking feeling of being helpless, at this world’s mercy, has begun to creep in. Your throat is dry and your skin itches as the tendrils slowly crawl up your arm.

It’s a sickening purple color, as thick as rope and just as scratchy. Your skin oozes out blood as the invasive plant forces itself into your skin, and you want to scream in agony at the sharp unending pain but you can’t. You cannot move.

Your vision blurs as something pierces through your foot, eyes watering. It feels – you feel – on fire, your body slowly disconnecting from your mind. A new wave of terror hits you as you realize you can’t feel your body anymore, just a heavy gnawing pain.

You shoot up in bed. Your body aches, but … that couldn’t have been real. Could it?

Was it a nightmare? Or did you die?

Almost mechanically, you get out of bed and leave your home. You’re not sure, as you look to the skies. They look normal. Blue, with clouds. But in the distance, you don’t see green. You see a sickly shade of purple mist, rising from the hill. Your bones tremble, your fear and torture from last night’s dream (it was a dream, right?) still on your mind.

It’s hazy, but you have a sense of déjà vu. Walking outside, seeing the cloud of purple. Talking to the rest of the villagers, the mayor sending a group out to investigate. Staying home with your family. Breaking into the mage’s library. Reading about taint. Grouping up with other villagers. Coming home to your house engulfed in purple. Running to a tree. Finding other villagers. A ritual. Then … pain.

And now you’re here.

You need to stop this.

A Blighted Natum

Heya guys! I have a side project I’ve been working on for a while, as an event for people to break up some of the monotony of life while I’ve been preparing for 1.10. Recently having recreated the world, I was able to finish it. Soooo, without further ado, I would like to present it to you as something that will be available for the next week, for players to play with and accomplish the unaccomplishable! Tomorrow, starting at 10AM PST, you will be able to connect to 198.245.63.86:25566 using the Technic Launcher, with the modpack Blightfall installed. It has been adjusted some, but you will not be able to play without installing Blightfall. This is going to be whitelisted, as well. To be placed on the whitelist, please leave a message here with your in-game name.

Your world? Natum, hundreds of years in the past, untouched by the current builds. Ores aren’t in the same location, but they are far more plentiful than in today’s Natum. The world has been overcome by a terrible blight. Tainted with this evil substance, your world collapsed. After you died, the remaining villagers performed rituals to reverse time, to bring select heroes in hopes they would save everything. You are one of the Chosen. There's not much time left before the taint overcomes you again. You will need to work together to accomplish this! Can you restore Natum?

This side server will be a 15 day experiment, from 10AM PST September 25^th to 10PM PST on October 9^th . The goal is to cleanse the world of taint, from your small village that may be the last place on the server left untainted!

pssst When you do cleanse the world, the biomes of the world will be the same biomes as what the seed would normally generate it to have, not the biomes that Natum has!

Please Note

 
Although this takes place on "Natum", it is not TheRealmsMC. It is an event that takes place on another server/IP. What happens there will not affect anything on TheRealmsMC. The world there is made with a different seed, and has been adjusted with more ores. In order to play, you must run Forge 1.7.10 and install many modpacks. The easiest way to do this is to download Technic, as it will download all the mods and set up a unique Minecraft instance, so it won't affect your normal Minecraft game. Several aspects of Single-Player-Mode Blightfall have been removed in order to make it a better fit for this experiment/for the multiplayer experience.
