This world we live in, this living, breathing, beating world we inhabit, is a gift to us all from Crann M贸r, the Great Tree.
In ages gone by, there was nothing but the seed. This seed, planted by a mysterious hand, gave sprout to Crann M贸r, then just a sapling. Growing by only the essence of the void, Crann M贸r began to spread it's branches and grow it's roots. From these branches and roots came the essence of life itself, giving sprout to the world and those who inhabit it. Crann M贸r knew not of good and evil, only of creation and growth. The creatures of the world walked the lands under the watchful and benevolent eye of The Great Tree.
In this green paradise came Man and Woman, a curious group of beings. This curiosity lead to seeking and learning. In this time of learning the mysterious hand came back, an unknown and ancient force, forgotten even by Crann M贸r. The hand pushed man to seek out why and how they were there. With no answer but simply the tree that watched over them, man became confused. Angered by the realization the real answer could never be found, man sought to destroy what he did know, Crann M贸r. Weakened by the loss of belief by his own children, the Great Tree was no match for Man. His branches were sawed off, his roots dug up, and his mighty trunk felled.
The world fell into chaos. River flooded over their banks, entire forests withered and died, lakes dried up. The continents shattered and moved on the surface the way a leaf floats on a river. This made man angrier holding Crann M贸r accountable. A bonfire ensued with the burning of the Great Tree, the largest fire ever. In the light of the flames man performed unholy rites and danced with dark energy. That generation of man and woman was lost.
The world began to settle and humans began to assume their old lives. No believers in the Great Tree's power remained, except for one- The Wanderer.
This is some lore I've been working on for about a week now. More will be revealed later, I just wanted to get this out. I'm not exactly starting a nation, but I am "claiming" an area. This is mostly so I can check them out and explore around them and see if they fit my theme. I would prefer the smaller island chain, but if it doesn't work then a section of the larger islands is where I'll settle. It's tentatively called the Green Isles. Claim-thing
Side note- This has nothing to do with dnessen's mother thing. This has been in the works for a while, and there is much more to the story and beliefs still to be revealed. I would've posted this yesterday night or this morning but got sidetracked by games (damn you Jordan and your modded server) and free comic book day. You can ask some of the guys I talk to in TS about how this has been slowly evolving too, so there is much to come from this.
