a very measured performance which constantly makes me question how to feel regarding Sam as a character. Hes entitled, narcissistic, ingratiated in his worldview, is unwavering, and feels a ultimate justification for his actions , you get a sense at some point that basically Sam already went off the very edge and we are seeing the ramifications of such a choice in motion. And yet adversely, Sam has a very sad, lonely center, and a gaping hole, hes very aware of his affliction and yet feels completely consumed by the need to continue. I feel like my feelings stem partly from being friends with a Sam and seeing their rapid decline, however they weren't murderers at all. And I enjoy Emond, Carell, and certain supporting actors as well, but for me Gleeson walks a fine line and excels as well. I really feel like this truly would be how you play a burgeoning Psychopath as well.
