[The Old Shillelagh] Updated to 1.1, New Mods & Map Reset!
Author Summary
Post Body

Rather than let the server become about as outdated and abandoned as a commodore, I took the liberty of updating to 1.1, adding new mods, and resetting the map. Now, don't worry, this decision isn't final (we still have a backup) but so far nobody has voiced disagreement with the reset, and practically nobody plays on the server any more.

Mod changes & Updating

New mods:

  • Forestry
  • Railcraft

Removed mods:

  • Advanced machines (possibly abandoned, and will be redundant in the future)
  • Power converters (has become outdated and redundant)

In order to update I would recommend a completely fresh install of Minecraft. The "Necessary Client Mods" tab on the subreddit has been brought up to date, so look to it for links to the downloads. Make sure you get the right versions! Also, the config has been updated! make sure you update yours.

Opening to the public

To the admins, ADMIN YOUR HEART OUT. We need to figure out what might have broken when i updated the map, I haven't found anything, but plugin's need updating and the config's may have broke. I would like the server to be effectively "adminable" asap, so we can get new people on the server. By this I mean we need to finish working out the permissions for player groups, and make sure everything else is working as it has in the past.
