I'm sure most of you know, but 1.8 went live today! :D No more fumbling around with pre-releases. We're still hammering out a final plan for upgrading the server, but it's coming along nicely. Here's what we have pretty much decided so far.

• The 1.8 map will be completely new, and we will NOT be importing buildings over. Now before you take out your pitchforks and start the witch hunt, read on.
• We will be using 2 extra worlds with our Multi World plugins - a Creative one, and a "time machine" warp to the 1.7 map. They will both have separate inventories from the 1.8 Survival map, but you can travel between them freely.
• As far as moving resources over from the old map to the new, the easiest way is to sell your shit to the bank on the 1.7 map and buy it back at a bank on 1.8. Or I might just worldedit chests over, seeing as that is shit tons easier. :D
• We're gonna be going back to the basics this time around. The spawn is very minimalistic as far as usefulness goes (it has lava, furnaces, and a workbench and 2 community chests. It doesn't have doors and the roof is open, so it won't be like insta-protection.) The infrastructure is up to the players to build this time. ;)
• Once Bukkit gets updated for 1.8, we'll upgrade the server, and after we test and make sure our essential plugins (LWC, LogBlock, WorldGuard, and Permissions are the only ones we pretty much can't be without) are working, we'll have the server ready to go. :D
• iConomy is being pasted over into the new world with no problems, so don't worry about all your cash getting deleted.
