I'm sure that if any of you follow this subreddit, you saw ioime's video of the huge battle that I set up in there last night. Everyone involved loved the idea, so I took some time and figured out some better rules for it.
1. I'll make a better viewing field later, it seems that for now most people enjoy fighting.
2. I /clear your inventories before and after. YOU MUST USE ARENA SPAWNED EQUIPMENT. This is to prevent people losing valuable things, as someone lost a full set of diamond armour and a diamond sword last night.
3. Everyone gets one life. I'll probably add a command to let people teleport to the viewing field after they die, but having to pause the whole fight to warp people into the arena just takes too much time out of it. Plus it's confusing when everyone tries to grab their armour after they die and other people take it.
4. Rewards! Depending on how many participants there are, the reward(s) for the last man standing will vary. For example, if there are only 3 people in the arena, the reward may be an iron block. If there are 6 people like we had last night, the reward may be any diamond tool of their choice. This is subject to change, and the rewards will eventually be set in stone as I see fit.
5. Building. I altered some flags last night so that people can build while inside the field. Feel free to dig underground and hide out in a hidey hole, or build yourself a wall to hide behind. You can chop down trees for wood, or use the dirt and sand in the field. Just remember that I can spawn mobs at specific players.. <3
6. Alternating terrain! With a few simple keystrokes, I can load up any variation of the field that I have created. Expect to be battling lots of Ghasts and Pigmen in a Nether-y volcano, lots of creepers and zombies in the middle of a forest, tons of skeletons in a desert, who knows what I'll come up with.
I hope that everyone enjoys the hell out of the arena. I'll build a safehouse outside the arena where people can put their stuff before a fight, but I'd suggest leaving stuff at home before coming to fight.
I'm open to suggestions, so feel free to input your opinion on this below! Or contact me in game. :D
By the way, the arena is that huge bedrock sphere in the SkyRealm behind the bank and my house. There's no way in unless an admin teleports you.
