We are setting up the new map with a great spawn while we work out the details of where the server will be hosted. I am so happy with how it looks so far. It's been coming together beautifully. This map has some of the most beautiful landscape! It's a really good balance between mountains/cliffs and flat plains. I haven't seen snow yet. (That's good imho: if you want a patch of snow somewhere we can hook that up, but snow everywhere makes the server chug.) The only thing that we are doing really is putting in solid infrastructure: A beautiful spawn, a rail system, a spawn portal, etc.

So if you want to build a city, pick a cardinal direction and ride out on the rail. Where it ends, start building. That allows for 4 cities from the beginning, and then you could just as easily go off at a vector: the rails are built out from 0,0 in each cardinal direction, so that maximizes your ability to link to it. You just pick the axis with the number closest to 0, and reduce it to 0, laying track. The rails go 1K in any direction, and will be extended as needed.

Our plan is to keep the interior of Spawn City (temporary name) very organized and beautiful, and then as you get to the outskirts of spawn, people can get more chaotic. As soon as we are confirmed that we have a new server home, I am going to ask for wiki write permissions so we can set up our FAQ on reddit. It will have the rules, locations of major points, and confirmed plans on it so that people can just look at the wiki and know what not to do, who needs help, and get ideas on where/what they can build. We're not out to be nazis, just provide a loose framework we can all enjoy.

As it stands now, We will have the following mods: WorldEdit,WorldGuard,lwc,logblock,CommandBook, and some economy system (which is tbd.)

Permissions will be set up before we post the ip, so you'll have access to things like list, msg, etc.

As incentive to contribute to the server fund, worldguard regions and /tp(self only), might get offered as a reward. We haven't decided 100%, but we are leaning very heavily toward it. If that happens, essentially that means don't bother asking for /tp's anymore, it's not going to happen. You want /tp ability, you know what to do. You want your house to be utterly grief-proof, you know what to do there, too. :) We feel that this is good prize, but one which doesn't make the game un-fun for those who can't afford to contribute.
