I got banned from a nsfw sub reddit for 'karma farming' I am fairly newish to reddit so I have no idea what this means. I contacted there mod but no response :S I don't want this to happen again in others. My only guess is it cus I post the same NSFW pics in other sub reddit? I don't know lol.
I've never asked people for upvotes and I've never really tried to do anything to 'boost karma' cus I don't really care about it. So not sure i understand what on earth happened.
Karma farming is a form of spam. It's when you post the same media on multiple subreddits in a short amount of time. Among many of the NSFW subreddits, but note not all of them, usually you can repost the same image in up to 2-3 subreddits in a day without drawing attention to yourself.
I've been around Reddit for a looong time. Unfortunately even having an established post history of years and years doesn't help sometimes - I've been banned from quite a few subs. You just have to find more and post in them instead. Good luck!
Sure, but mods are users too. If you have ever done the above before, then even posted that one single picture in their sub, they can likely conclude that you're going to do it in other subs (whether you were or weren't) and ban you for that.
I do not know how true or if it is every group, but my understanding is if you post the same pics to many subs you will be banned for spamming. You got to change your pics up. Some never recycle, I might cross over one or 2 rooms with a single pic, but not more than that.

Yeah, its hard to grasp. Some rooms what you to have like 1000 total karma to post others don't care. Its hard to figure them out. Most will have an area that will tell you if they require a specific amount of Karma. Some subs will just ban because you don't fit what they want....I have found most of the time its not anything I did....again I am not sure of anything on here.
