Hi, I'm Jordyn and, for the purposes of this post, the most important thing about me is that I have $15k worth of camera and lighting equipment.
I've bought a lot of stuff. And I've done a lot of research. I know lots of things, and I'm pretty damn good at evaluating products. I really want to start a YouTube series called "Upgradeable" where each video features a piece of equipment you can use to upgrade your content, regardless of your budget. But the key point is that everything featured is upgradeable. We'll intentionally stay away from closed ecosystems, one time use items, and general garbage.
How do we know what's garbage? We test it. I've already got a huge head start on this and would be more than willing to further invest in testing things to help out the community.
So what do I need a collaborator for? Well, while my work as a software engineer, inventor, and PhD student gives me plenty of money, ideas, and insight, it does not leave me with a lot of time. So I'm looking for a collaborator to actually make the videos.
The idea is we work together to pick products, evaluate them, and write the script, then you film, edit, and post it, and the whole community benefits.
I've had this idea for awhile, but I'm still workshopping it and I'm open to suggestions and constructive criticism.
What do y'all think?
