I was on my professional LinkedIn today and began wondering if sex workers use LinkedIn. I mean, sex work is work, so on paper it makes sense, but I can also see how that particular site has higher risk to it. When I first got started in sex work nearly 8 years ago, I began as a sugar baby, and LinkedIn was a hotspot for client sourcing. Obviously that's a different realm of sex work, but I don't know. Maybe it's the anti-authority in me that makes me want to create a sex work LinkedIn for the sheer fact that we deserve to be there too. But I don't even know how I'd go about setting up that profile. A SW friend of mine told me she had one for her SW and it landed her some gigs, but I haven't heard back from her since then.
