Why does Alecto immediately apologize about Samael?
Anastasia would presumably have been alive long enough to found the ninth house, plenty of time for Alecto to drop by and say anything on her mind, including condolences. We know that Alecto owes a boon to Anastasia's line, but we don't know when it happened or why.
We assume John was lying about why he killed Samael, but he never mentions how. Why would Anastasia agree to build the tomb if the pact was in place? If it wasn't, when did it happen?
