I was out with friends last night, and we ended up discussing the TV we were obsessed with lately - so I started talking about The Masked Singer.

I feel like it's great television because the costumes are amazing, and super elaborate - and those alone are totally worth it.

My friend disagreed completely, and said it was only worth watching because of the 'mystery' of figuring out which costume is which celebrity.

I realized that there's a lot of different reasons someone might like it:

• The judges are an adorable shitshow
• You like digging out the clues
• You like watching other people do karaoke
• The dancers
• High production value
• Guilty pleasure hate-watch?
