i was sobbing like a BABY when she died in the fire under the floorboards. that poor woman had been thru so much & finally found her happiness, & that’s what happens. not to mention the trauma she had already from the fire in her childhood when she was kidnapped by kjartan. as someone who has also been thru horrible trauma & am finally working on it at 30 years old, thyra’s character really struck a chord with me. i saw a lot of myself in her, especially when she was locked in the cage with her dogs at kjartan’s fortress. it just makes me so sad that she stabbed herself in the stomach, thinking of her poor husband (who loved the shit out of her! we should all be so lucky 🩷), choking on smoke from a fire. RIP thyra, you deserved to grow old with beocca & be happy 💔
