Do I think the live action is going to be good? hell no. Do I think these changes will happen? No because that would require Netflix do good writing and good adaptation, something they're mostly incapable of nowadays(shitty changes that nobody wants are something I'm fully expecting) but I felt like talking about it anyway(I'm not gonna mention the Lion Turtle and Aang getting the Avatar State back through luck because everybody in the fandom has bitched about it already)
- When Zhao notices Zuko's sword and realizes that he is the Blue Spirit, have Zhao mention that Zuko was trained by Pian Dao as a kid(which is canon), which will make Pian Dao's first appearance in book 3 even more satisfying to the audience
- Give a reason why the Northern Water Tribe doesn't allow female fighters. Pakku's reasoning for not training Katara was because his culture didn't allow it and that's why. A lot of people see this as a very strong plot point for the show and the time maybe it was, but it's very simplistic and doesn't work for me. In real life the culture vs ethics debate is way more complex, with stuff like religious values playing a role, and thus making finding an answer more complex. In the show however, the answer is "fuck you, that's why"
- Give Suki more screen time. I really like her character, but what are her characteristics? She's loyal and that's all I can think. Plus she is a full time member of team Avatar by the end but by the end of the show it feels like team avatar plus suki
- Get rid of the Great Divide and The fortuneteller(I don't think anyone's gonna get mad at me for saying this)
- Give more screen time to Mai and Ty Lee. We barely know anything about them
What about you, what are some changes you think would be beneficial?
