Watched the first episode again yesterday and noticed again that Simon seems objectively more popular in his opening scene.
When he’s abusing Will’s blazer, briefcase and hair, it seems like he has a crew of people who like him and perhaps even think he’s cool/respect him?
But then after that it only really shows him with Jay and Neill, and then later Will, and he seems to be much less popular.
I know plot consistencies, character arcs etc aren’t really relevant to the show (it’s not relevant, is it?) but I just thought it was interesting to note.
What do we think? Perhaps the boner incident was his social downfall?
