Feeling bad after turning down a (non-quota bag) offer

I don’t know how hard it is to get a Herbag 31 in other countries, but I find that it’s not very easy to get in Melbourne, Australia. We don’t have an Hermes boutique where I live, so I rely on travelling to buy something (which I suppose is to my disadvantage because I can’t have an SA for longterm).

Now, I am in Sydney for a short trip and I popped in to the flagship boutique and I was appointed an SA who was still in training. She was just so lovely, passionate and knowledgeable. After having a chat about bracelets and scarves, I finally asked her about the Herbags on display. She actually picked up a colour that I didn’t like to show me, but I did ask her to tell me more about the bag and if I can try it on.

As we walked over again to the shelves, I expressed my interest over at the one with neutral colours. She said it was available and I was caught off guard. I’m used to being told they don’t have stock in Melbourne.

Now I feel bad that I turned down one of my wishlist bags because I wasn’t ready to purchase it just yet (I don’t own credit cards and it’s coming straight from my savings). She did offer to put an extensive list of Herbag specifications that I like in my wishlist. I kinda want to go back to the boutique to get one now that I’ve thought about it for a bit longer, but I’m afraid that someone must’ve bought it and I can’t get the same SA because it’s tricky to make an appointment within short notice.
