Is this an appropriate gift for a loss in the family?

Post Body

Sorry if this post does not belong here, wasn't sure where to post it. I found out our neighbours wife passed away last week, leaving a husband and two older teenagers behind. We do not know them really well but have had a few conversations.

I am, of course, going to put a card in their mailbox but I would like to give a gift. I'm not comfortable with taking a meal or food over, so I thought a Doordash gift card would be a nice idea. I bought a 75 dollar gift card but now my husband thinks its an inappropriate gift .. I thought it would be a nice gesture. Any thoughts are appreciated!! Thank you!!
