So basically I’ve noticed in the last year or so I don’t feel hunger and if I do, it’s really shallow hunger, not actual empty belly hunger.
I’m not losing weight, I maintain fine, but I never have any problems skipping meals or eating on a weird schedule because food seems like kind of a construct to me. There are foods I like and dislike, so I’m not losing taste, and I never eat too much and always stop when my body is satisfied, but I miss being genuinely hungry. Eating three square meals per day is way too much for me, so usually I eat like two or one and a half.
When I go out to eat, I only ever eat half my serving and take the rest home and my friends make fun of me for having a tiny stomach. I’m not a small person, I am 5 5 and weigh about 150 pounds, so I’m in shape but by no means super skinny.
I work out three times a week, walk all the time, don’t really eat breakfast normally, probably don’t eat as many fruits and veggies as I should, and am on a blood thinning medication for blood clots in my lungs a few months ago.
I was thinking about seeing if cutting out something like gluten or dairy would make me hungrier, because I feel bloated sometimes even though I never overeat.
Sorry that this was all kind of a jumble, but how can I get my actual appetite back? I’ve been stressed a bit, but only occasionally does it become the tie-my-stomach-in-knots-anxiety.
Does anyone have any experience with this or any suggestions to help?
