Anyone ever had an IUD expelled? Part of me thinks it was because the doctors who put it in the first time were just incompetent.
I went to planned parenthood to get the copper IUD last October (they literally took like 10 min to put it in). about a month after that in November, my IUD fell out. My partner and I were getting intimate and he reached inside me and told me he could feel my IUD. Curious, I reached down and was able to pull it out myself. It was literally 1 inch inside my vagina lol. I definitely freaked out.
The second time I decided to try one more time this January and went to my regular doctor to get the Mirena. The doctor took 2 min and it was less painful than when I went to planned parenthood. And I have the IUD in to this day with no problems.
Maybe the planned parenthood docs measured the copper IUD wrong or something. Definitely a funny story to tell people though haha.
