I recently started going to therapy for the first time to try and change my thoughts surrounding my lack of experience when it comes to dating. I’ve always thought that I look too much like my dad and a couple people have thought I was trans in the past. I think that my looks are a lot of the reason why no one has ever asked me out before. I’m also unfortunately overweight, which makes it hard to feel confident. It feels defeating cause it seems like a milestone that should have been achieved a long time ago. Any advice would be super appreciated. Just wanted to vent and write out my thoughts.
Don't worry, you're not alone! Dating and relationships can be tough for anyone, no matter their age or experience. Your journey is unique and there's no set timeline for when certain milestones should happen. Keep working on yourself and your confidence, and don't be afraid to put yourself out there. You never know who might be interested! Also, therapy is a great step towards self-improvement and self-love. Keep at it and don't let anyone's close-minded opinions bring you down. You got this!
