Is Barry depressed after crisis on infinite earths??
Post Body

I donā€™t know if Iā€™m the only one whoā€™s noticed this but is Barry depressed after crisis??? Iā€™ve been watching season 7 and now that the forces arc is finished I feel like Iā€™m watching season 3 again, the setting is just so depressing and Barry is just all serious and not joyful like heā€™s been in previous seasons, after crisis on infinite earths ended and flash went onwards Barry just felt like he was losing his spark of joy everyone loves he has. I noticed after Barry found out that he was living with a fake Iris he just wasnā€™t himself no more like he lost a part of himself which was true he had lost Iris, after Iris got rescue and when the Mirror Master arc finished I thought he was gonna be more joyful but he just keep being all gloomy and serious like Oliver does(btw Iā€™ve never seen any arrow episodes besides the crossover ones so Iā€™m just going off with what my friends says whoā€™s watched the whole arrow series) and since Barry isnā€™t himself and gloomy the whole season has felt that way and I just donā€™t like this season so far I was liking the season when it was still in the Mirror Master arc but after that it just feels like itā€™s season 3 again just a sad and depressing season. I know some people will say ā€œBarry lost his daughter and his best friend in the last few seasons and almost lost his wifeā€ but that isnā€™t the first tragedy in his life, the first thing that was made very clear in the first season is that Barryā€™s mother died when he was young and later he found out that the person he looked up to and admired and build a relationship and saw him as a mentor and a friend was the person who murder his mother and cause his father to be arrested for her motherā€™s death, plus he had the opportunity to go back in time and save his mother and have what he always wanted a normal life with both parents with him but his future self told him that he couldnā€™t imagine you had the chance to save youā€™re mother from dying but canā€™t because you told yourself you canā€™t do it without having any consequences and you have to see her die and take her last breath, and he saw Eddie and Ronnie die in the season finale and season 2 wasnā€™t nice to him either he was tricked against from a person he saw as a mentor and a friend and saw his own father get killed by him(zoom). In just two seasons he experienced so much lost and betrayal but he was still a joyful and happy hero and he explained why he was like that in the else words crossover with Oliver he does it because he buries his grief and guilt and focus on all the joy in his life thatā€™s why he runs fast when heā€™s happy but now heā€™s just sad. Flash is the hero that is joyful and happy that is the light of the team but he just isnā€™t that now which makes it seem like Iā€™m watching a completely different show, I just hope they make him more like his past self when Nora and Bart come because Nora was such a good character in season 5 and felt like she was really Barryā€™s daughter sheā€™s a joyful person and you can see a lot of Barryā€™s traits in her and the little things Iā€™ve seen about Bart heā€™s like that too I just really hope that they remind him about that and lighten up the mood. I also by no means saying that they should just be joking around all the time theyā€™re serious when things are tense like in big fights but besides that I miss the old flash just coming into Star labs taking off his mask having a smile and joking around with his friends.
