What should be re-read ahead of A Little Hatred

Just found out about A Little Hatred, and generally I try to avoid any kind of spoilers, but it’s been so long since I read the books I figured a preparatory re-read was in order. Any recommendations?
I am thinking I won’t make it through all six books by September. Maybe just the first three? Or the first three plus the Heroes?
