Crummock knows too much about Caurib's powers.
He knew that she used fog and the long-eye, and he knew that Caurib was going to use a spell to advantage Fenris during his single combat against Logen. How did he know all this about her? Maybe because he knew Caurib personally? Had some knowledge of magic ? Was it the Moon who told him ?
Crummock also seems to speak to Logen as if he knew him, as if he knew the Bloody-Nine well. He's even said that the Bloody-Nine can't die, and when you know that the Bloody-Nine is the personification of Death and that he was never killed... it seems like Crummock knows some things about this character.
