Big question here that might shake up the entire “meta” building on Hailey at the moment, so brace yourselves….

Do you actually NEED piercing light to do tons of damage with your Zenith / 4th skill?

I’ve seen in discords and even pub matches and from my own playing experience that people are doing a bunch of damage without piercing light as a mount and I’m starting to become confused on why that was being pushed in the first place to make Hailey a heavy hitter.

I’ve personally been using the slayer set with a PURPLE reactor for chill singular that I even enhanced to the second level with the requirement of machine gun class equipped so I don’t lose any skill damage when swapping weapons and all that, and I’ve been doing monster damage either way and really contributing a lot to boss fights AND dungeons when facing that final boss.

Has anyone else run into this interesting situation?

TLDR: Do you really need an ultimate reactor with piercing light mounting to deal big damage with Hailey?
