Is the Battle Pass leveling speed too slow or just right?

I only have 22 hours in the game so far, but only level 8 of the Battle Pass seems low. I still have a bunch of challenges to do that will eventually end up boosting me because some of the seasonal ones give multiple levels at a time, but I've been doing all of the dailies as I play and just comparing this to other games I expected to be further along in the pass. Am I wrong or will it speed up once some challenges in progress finally complete?
