M29 and F23 New to this sort of thing

We decided to make a visit tonight to the cinema, we were unsure what to expect atall was maybe looking to be watched or maybe have a M join in if we felt comfortable. The cinema was very empty seen two guys the whole time one when coming in one when leaving. Maybe we visited at the wrong time, due to traffic issues we couldn’t get there till about 8:30 pm on Saturday night. Also as we are quite young we wondered if it’s ok to single out young people to watch or join if younger people do visit
