From all of my personal experience with edging and exploring myself, I've compiled some of the main aspects that everyone need to know before starting their edging journey.
**1. Find the best environment*
-It's very important to be able to lose yourself to the edge. But it's hard to set up a place where no distractions can disrupt the flow.
Especially for people that don't live alone it's imperative that you create your little corner where you can just let go and let the sensation guide you.
**2. Find the best technique for you*
-Every person is different in how they experience sensations. It's necessary for everyone to figure out what works for them. For example:
Do you use the start-stop method(when you reach the edge stop any stimulation and contunue when any tension has subsided) or do you try and ride the edge(where you maintain lower levels of stimulation for prolonged periods of time)?
Do you play with you balls or pinch your nipples?
These choices are a natural outcome of experimentantion. So don't be afraid to experiment and learn more about yourself.
**3. Find the balance of edging*
-A thing I don't hear often is that edging take a lot of time and commitment.
Any person can get caught up with edging and forget their relationship or responsibilities. I struggled with maintaining my real life need and regular edging for more than a year.
It's easy to fall back and think about edging all day, but it's important to strike a balance between pleasure and productivity.
**4. Don't overexert yourself*
-Most people are eager to test their limits right away when they get into edging. Listen to what your body tells you.
If something hurts or you feel uncomfortable, just don't do it.
When you have more experience you can SLOWLY start incorporating new and experimental additions to your sessions.
**5. Don't be afraid of sharing*(but not everything)
-Asking other people for advice or just sharing your experiences with other people is what makes us a community.
Most people will gladly help you, give you some advice or just hear you out. Be sure to return the favour if the need arises.
But be mindful of the information you give out and who you're giving it out to. It's better not to share personal information. Don't give information with which you're uncomfortable even if asked to.
Name, location, photoes or video is your private data. Share it with caution!
Those are all tips I don't see often on other subs that are as important as the basics. If you want more advice like this or you have questions about some of them don't be afraid to comment or DM me. Happy edging!
