By now I've watched through the crown like 5 times at least and this part always confuses me. The magazine interviewer asks David for sartorial tips he can give "the young men of today", David replies: "no matter what the fashion, a well cut suit in a beautiful fabric will take you anywhere." And the lady sort of makes a face like he's out of touch or that's not what she meant. I don't think it was a bad answer for her question, but I've always felt like I'm missing something, why was she so perturbed by his answer?
Yes, exactly! Especially when they're going to him for an interview, they should know what they're getting from a 60 year old former king. And like... A nicely tailored suit in a beautiful fabric is probably a good idea to have? Particularly in 1953? 🤷🏽♀️
True lol, King Edward the VIII definitely wasn't trending anymore

Ahh yeah that could be, especially after he makes the comment to Wallis about them "paying extra" for tips lol.
The well-milled soap is a great moment 😂
