I happened upon the trailer and it completely spits on the face of the original imo. Why do that to the series when they could have just made a new movie. I mean all of them were good, some a little off the mark bit good. This one just seems like a reboot where the creators wanted to give a middle finger to the fans. I'm still gonna watch it but it's gonna be hard not comparing it to the original when it's trying to replace the original.
Edit: Don't get me wrong, I will still watch the movie and will encourage others to do so. I'm not here to stop other from watching it. I just vent my frustration that a beloved movie is getting trampled on by people who don't care enough about the fans. And yes, I understand the original still exists, but too many good movies get pushed aside for worse versions of them. I will not say the original movie is 100% faithful to the comics. However, this one (along with many other changes) in the trailer states that he can save his gf by making things right. Which imo takes away from the original story. To those that have been respectful and tried to give me other ways to view this I thank you, that is the reason for this post so I can vent and discuss.
