Writing A One Piece Crossover And Struggling With How To Write Westeros's Treatment Of Women

Post Body

The idea is that the nations of ASOFI take exist in the world of One Piece. But Westeros while part of the World Government is still culturally very much the same. They don't allow guns (Outside Of The Navy) and it's created an issue for me. Mainly the treatment of woman.

How would you recommend addressing a lot of the sexual violence present in GOT. Is it bashing to have most characters called the GOT characters barbaric? My current answer Is just have Westeros be considered a really backwards, Shitty place to live but no one can do anything about. It pays the government it's money so it's backed by the Navy. And it with few very recent exceptions (Ned, Robert, Lyanna, The Mad King, Rhaegar,) does not produce power houses. And none of these guys are enough to affect any wide spread change. That doesn't come until later into the fic. And any woman who could make a difference like say Arya do not stick around.

So the idea was Westeros being considered a place with men who are looked at as barbaric and women who are pitied. I don't want to have Westeros be bashed but like. Wouldn't it be looked down on? I do have the idea that they produce the highest number of female pirates though lol.
