It's a popular fan theory that the Night's King (the 13th Lord Commander of the Night's Watch who married an Other) was a Bolton, and all the Red Kings/Lords after him were their son, who just keeps stealing the bodies of his heirs to prolong his life. The pale Other-like eyes Boltons have as well as the leeches Roose uses both seem to be evidence in favor of this
Are there any fics that explore this idea? It would definitely be an interesting twist to the Long Night arc if the Others actually had allies among the (alleged) humans
