Okay so after watching the show and seeing Jaime’s arc, not to mention reading the book.
I am honestly surprised he was with Cersei in beginning. After everything he saw and witnessed, I always imagined he would be stoic and guilt ridden. I know his arrogance is his armor but I just imagined him being more a warrior than anything.
That being said, I imagine he’d have a love interest.
As good as the show romance with Brienne was (more average to me than anything before burning up like KL) I’d imagine he’d have a paramour like Lewyn.
Who would that be?
For me, there was always possibilities.
- Chataya in KL. Since she looks complete opposite of Cersei, I’d imagine that would start something. Then him having an illegitimate child (Alayaya) would always be a interesting plot point.
Though my head cannon is Lewyn is the father.
Dacey Mormont. I thought she would be a great pairing. A warrior woman and she would be able to snark back at Jaime.
Obara Sand. A crazy choice. Oh I see how problems would be caused here. She’d hate him because he’s a Lannister. Oberyn would want him dead for Elia. But the drama and the story, build up would be so interesting.
For show verse, my crack pairing would be Missandei. I enjoy the idea. He’s a sell sword. Abandoned his life in Westeros and just lives in free cities. He needs a translator and purchases her for that. Soon enough, they travel the free cities and get caught up in the chaos of Daenerys conquest and taken as hostages. Jaime’s stories of Rhaegar and Rhaella save his life and Missandei and her abilities to translate give her a valuable position and story goes from there.
As you can see, I wish we had more Jamie stories that weren’t centered around the same concepts.
