I found it really odd how they were trying to paint Kai as a conniving and untrustworthy person. Isabella/Sophie was especially obsessive about it for a bit.

Kai and James are much too trusting of him. And they fold (especially James recently) too easily.That alone is a big reason why he’s made it this far.
