Anyone else feel this way about Lee?

Please do not read if you haven't seen all of season 2 thus far...
So when they all got their calls from home... I felt bad for Lee. His partner kept saying "just win" "win big" etc.
In everyone else's call they were told things like "just enjoy the process" "you're still a winner to us" "whether you win or not" etc.
It seemed like winning is all Lee's husband was concerned about. No I miss you, no I love you, no "win or lose, I got you babe."
It made me sad for him ðŸ˜
