The fourth season’s next three episodes are now in theaters and I have to say episode 4 was a wave emotions in the aftermath of Ramah’s death. There’s joy, laughter and sadness all in this one episode. Gaius is probably not just my favorite Roman, but my favorite character in the series and Kirk Woller plays him wonderfully. I already knew he would be the centurion who asked Jesus to heal his servant.
What a way for the writers to do it for this series. Seeing Jesus be so proud of someone’s faith and then heartbroken by His followers’ misunderstanding followed by a private moment of mourning with His Father in Heaven was awesome but what broke me down was seeing Gaius, who is thankful for what Jesus has done for Him, embrace Him for comfort and gratitude, how beautiful that was….. not a dry eye in the theater in that moment.
What did you all think? I also think this was a good follow up to the fairly controversial episode 3.
