While I still love the show, there is something that bothers me, which is the fact that I have the feeling things got "easier" for the main characters. The show clearly wants to tell us that the boys are highly outmatched by the supes in every single way, however, I don't really get that feeling. Back in season one, it felt like the main characters had no chance against supes, even going as far as to spend one entire episode with The Boys figuring out how to kill Translucent, however, in season 2's finale, they go over plans on how to kill all of The Seven which is just absurd. This is only enhanced in Season 3 with the temporary V being introduced. Like I get not all the conflict needs to be physical, but like, if Butcher with Temp V can stand against Homelander, why hasn't he gone on a fucking rampage against supes(which he explicitly had no problem with). This doesn't extend just to the Temp V tho, I'm sorry, but Kimiko, Frenchie and Cherrie had no right surviving the situation with little Nina, especially Kimimo getting shot at(IK she was covered by that dude but still) and surviving after losing her powers
