Is it weird that I'm rooting for Homelander?

I really like the character. This season so far I feel like he's becoming more vulnerable without Madelyn. Plus the seven are falling apart. With Stormfront moving in without his approval, A-Train and his heart, Starlight defecting, the Deep joining a cult. Homelander is alone. Even he can't connect with his kid. I'm staring to feel bad for the guy.
