Where’s Ryan? One of the first things Sage says upon her return to HL. As the scene plays out slowly Sage starts to peel back the layers of her plan, that this plot was all for him, and to what end? Just to see that she could do it. She leaves him with the final words, next time you should listen to me, and he responds, “next time?”. Now get ready for phase 2!

But something out of this interaction doesn’t make sense to me. Why would she ask where Ryan is?… I mean if she predicted the things that would happen in the plan, this would also mean getting foresight into HL losing his grip on his son, the plan, and what also the boys are doing. I suspect Sage was telling half truths and needing HL to now have unquestionably loyalty from her leaves him vulnerable. How else do you kill the strongest man? You stab him in the back.

This would also deconstruct the intelligent character trope. I actually don’t think sage has a plan. I think her goal is to see what she can get away with, and I just think killing HL, and her being the one in charge maybe be what’s she’s going for. However I’m not 100% on this idea… we really don’t know anything about Sage other than what she said to Neuman which I still think was truth
