Given Storer grew up in Chicago in what seems to be the 80s and 90s, hearing all of these little call outs and shoutouts to things in the city's past and present has always been fun. For those of you who grew up in Chicago in the same era like myself, what have been your favorites? Extra points for your favorite red-hot / Italian beef joint.
For me, it would have to be Uncle Jimmy talking about Lake Geneva and the 3-peat party.
And Johnnie's on North Avenue (which was called out in the show!) with Portillo's a close 2nd.
Being Indian all of our holiday gatherings were like this. Just absolute chaos in the kitchen.

That was the golden era of Q101. It peaked with the Cage Match and Top 9 at 9.
it was those that made me miss the city I grew up in. It was like a little glimmer of hope that MAYBE that city can figure its shit out and get back on track.

that XRT cold open with Sufjan Stevens shot me right back in time. that was incredible.
