So I've posted my idea for backstories for TwoFace and Killer Croc, and while I set up another villain slightly in TwoFace I'm afraid he's not ready to share yet. So here's my idea for Poison Ivy.

Pamela Isley was born into a very secluded family. Living away from the city of Gotham in a cabin far into the woods. With her upbringing Pamela became very familiar with the wildlife and nature surrounding their home. She watched animals through her windows throughout her life and saw how animals reacted to different plants around the house. This peaked Pamela's interest to learn about the flowers themselves and what effects they have on different animals.

She began to take care of these plants and ensured that animals would not eat them so that she could study them further. However after a few years the city of Gotham passed a new act that would cause a Mass act of deforestation as well as destroying Pamela's home in the process to expand the city.

Pamela's family was offered financial compensation as a result but Pamela was angered by the destruction of her plants she had cared for her entire life so far. This would lead to her joining an activist group againt further deforestation and with the goal of preserving nature.

During this time Pamela also began to attend college and began studying in the field of Botany. During her time in her classes she learned about the many different flower types and the effects that they have. It was also During this time that she became very close with the professor of her class as they both shared very extreme passion for the field of botany.

The two would stay after classes to discuss the many different wonders of mother nature and they formed a relationship of mutual respect for eachother's passion. It was at this point that the professor told Pamela about the governments operation of harvesting a endangered flower species for their own experiments to use in future wars.

This flower is extremely poisonous and is currently being used as the main ingredient in a new biological weapon. The two discuss this supposed operation before deciding they need to stop it from happening further to ensure the flowers survival.

The two begin their plan to recover this flower and they travel to the location of where they are currently under government surveillance. However they manage to sneak in and begin uprooting the flowers to transfer them. It is as they are leaving that a gaurd catches them. In fear of being arrested the professor takes out a hidden weapon and kills the guard.

A now fearful Pamela hesitates and contemplates stopping their plan, the professor then grabs her by the wrist and begins running away from the crime scene. The two make it back to the professor's house and an argument ensues.

Pamela begins talking about turning themselves in because of the death of the gaurd but the professor can't risk losing his job as a professor. Fearing that she will turn him in the professor takes out one of the plants and holds Pamela still as he shoves it down her mouth.

This causes Pamela to to begin having a seizure as her body breaks out in hives and rashes. During her seizure the plant enters her digestive system as well and begins ravaging her organs.

After the professor flees Pamela is found and is escorted to the hospital. She is stabilized after a few hours but remains unconscious, the doctors then discover that the plants carry a disease that acts as a parasite. This disease causes Pamela's skin to become plant like and begin growing small leaves out of her pores.

The doctors attempt to remove the leaves but when they do so a mass of blood pulls out, so ensuring the safety of Pamela they decide to leave the leaves there.

Pamela remains in a coma for months before finally waking up. When she wakes she finds herself covered in grown out leaves and begins freaking out. The commotion alerts a doctor and she is soon given the details of what happened.

The doctors then deliver the heartbreaking news that her disease in incurable and that she will most likely be like this for the rest of her life. They then explain the the professor had been caught and arrested for his crimes which made Pamela feel slightly better.

After being released from the hospital Pamela attempted to return to a normal life but was unable to do so. People feared her disease and believed it to be contagious, and while drifting she began to remember about what the original plan for the flowers were.

Now knowing what these flowers could do to people Pamela was horrified by her own countries plans and decided that these flowers needed to be kept out of Humanity's hands. And all flowers as well as humans only exploit them for their own benefits.

Pamela would then continue her work as an activist but would become much more extreme in her tactics. It was at this time that she also began her new plan, using her botany knowledge she began to grow plants that she could use to Poison those in charge of the biological plan.

While it pained her to do something similar she saw it as a lesser evil being used for good. The plants she grew were extremely potent and untraceable. She would then discover high ranking government officials names and would begin to target them to ensure there was no funding for the biological weapon experiment.

This is when The Batman becomes involved because law enforcement can not trace the murders to any source and they believe batman is capable of doing so after his amazing work on the Riddler case.
