Multi melta has a better punch and with 18 inch range it’s not bad

Heavy bolter feels better for being able to snipe thing from further away to give out ignores cover but it doesn’t necessarily feel like the hellhound doesn’t get a good purpose. Like if you give it the melta it can push more and has a better role as anti tank and infantry while giving out ignores cover While giving it a Bolter it feels like your wasting the bolter shots to give out ignores cover and then only having the inferno canon at shorter range
