Hello fellow guardsmen! So I’m brand new to Warhammer 40k and have been very interested in the guard. I’m thinking of buying this local army that’s for sale so I can start playing (make sure I enjoy that aspect) and then build up/refine the army by working on my own mini’s. I have no idea though if this is a good start for me, or if the build outs are decent selections (I also idk if I can use the kit bashed conversions while playing). The army is going to run me about 500 to buy and consist of: 3x Valkryie Gunships (Magnetized wings and stands) 5x Leman Russ Battle Tanks 1x Manticore/Deathstrike (Magnetized Deathstrike Missile) 2x Basilisk Artillery Cannons 6x Heavy Weapons Teams (Heavy Bolter) 12x Heavy Weapons Teams (Autocannon) 6x Heavy Weapons Teams (Lascannon) 6x Vox Caster guardsmen 24x Assorted special weapons guardsmen 2x Vindicare Snipers 100x Guardsmen (Kitbashed conversions w/ GW Lasrifle Arms) 10x sergeants (Eisenkern Stormtroopers Kitbash) 1x Astropath 1x Officer of the Fleet 1x Master of Ordinance 1x Gunnery Sergeant Harker 3x IG Commanders 1x Sly Marbo counts-as (Catachan model w/ Demo Charge) 3x Flag/Standard Bearers
