I should probably note that I got this game from a humble bundle and didn’t know anything about it.
My big issue is how the game does things to take me out of the games story. A good example (other then the 4th wall breaking which I’ll get to) is the radioman. He didn’t fit the games tone at all, and it was very distracting. My other issue is the attempts to call out the audience. The fact that your choices have little to no effect on the game makes it feel extremely cheap, and no I don’t buy the “it was your choice to play the game” crap because it’s a cop out in a similar vain to “it was just a dream”. The loading screens were the most hilarious examples. Things like that made me nitpick aspects like how the enemies spawn points are like a freaking clown car, or the white phosphorus scene (although I get why this was talked about so much). If anything the gameplay was the best part due to the fun use of the environment in the firefights.
