I refuse to ever say "bless you" when someone sneezes

Post Body

Do you ever think about how weird this is? It's something I used to do so frequently that it became an instinct.

One day I just googled the origin just being curious, and as it turns out it was originally said because it was believed that with each sneeze it was your body reacting to the devil trying to possess it. Another source says your heart stops for a second when you sneeze.

Neither of these reasons hold any water for me, and it's crazy to me that saying "bless you" is what everyone I have met has said regardless of their religion for something based on a religious belief.

This phrase is too cultish for me, and it's not like we ever say anything when someone farts or burps or even blow their nose other than disgust. But let me know what you think.
