Considering how about 80% of clothing from big fashion companies are sent to landfill or destroyed, I dont see an issue with shoplifting clothes.

Post Body

Im talking about luxury brands, fast fashion brands, and mass produced clothing company brands. And im speaking specifically regarding clothing. There are documentaries and articles exposing how so many big brands have massive piles of over stock from unsold clothes. Some companies even totally burn or destroy unsold items because they dont want poor people being seen wearing their stuff. People keep saying how the clothing gets donated to places like tj maxx or charity, but only a small percent does. And even still, they also have too much unsold clothing that cant be recycled and has to be thrown out. Its a HUGE waste to the environment, as well as a big slap to all the people who could use the clothes, but the ego of the companies is too big. They waste more money in making so much clothing that will go to waste and yet ready to press charges on people that take an item that costs about $10 on clearance that was probably going to get thrown out regardless.

Ah.
