Bus companies SHOULD charge extra for young children (0 - 4). Where I live, they go free, which i believe is an absolute travesty. I don't care what you think about "fairness" or "equality"—have you ever been stuck on a bus, the crappily installed metal bars clanging around n' shit? Imagine that, but adding to that, a toddler goes into full meltdown mode. It's the most miserable experience known to man. No amount of sound-proof headphones can save you.

You want to bring your kid on public transportation? FINE. But you better be ready to cough up some extra funds for the privilege of possibly inflicting auditory assault on the rest of us. And don't give me that shit about how "they can't help it." Yeah, I know they can't help it—that's exactly why their parents should PAY for the added torture they bring to everyone's ride. Imagine, just for a second, a blissful bus journey where you're lucky enough to be on a bus where that damn metal bar is NOT clanging.

Imagine that, then a parent walks in, and they just sit on their phone whilst their toddler or baby is going full gorilla mode. I'm talking: screaming their heads off, kicking the chair in front of them, etc. and everyone just has to sit there, smile on face, and endure it.

And let's be real here... charging extra for these toddlers would force parents to THINK TWICE before dragging their wee banshees onto public transportation. Maybe, just maybe, they'd find alternative ways to get around, leaving the rest of us to enjoy a slightly less shitty commute. Fuck, they might even consider leaving the kid at home with a babysitter or family for once. Because apparently, those things don't exist until you're going to the wedding of your auntie's cousin!

But wait, there's more! I would absolutely LOVE if bus companies could also reject large groups of teenagers. Yeah, I said it. The loud, obnoxious cliques that think the whole bus is their personal hangout spot? Yeah, them. But I get it, they need to get to school or whatever, so I'll (VERY BEGRUGINGLY) tolerate their noise. But the toddlers and babies? No. Just NO. THEY HAVE NO SCHOOL! THEY HAVE NO GOOD REASON TO BE THERE!!!!

Fuck, this shit got me so triggered. 大家再见!
