Towards the end of The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel, Mike speaks the truth about Elisa’s case in saying that, “it’s all entirely explainable but it’s still widely touted as an internet mystery.”
I live with bipolar disorder and hearing the conspiracy theories about Elisa Lam for three hours was disturbing and felt highly exploitive and insulting to the victim and those who live with this disorder. It was refreshing to hear Mike clearly state that the death was no mystery. I just want to take a moment to appreciate Mike’s skepticism. That’s a big part of why I love him. No nonsense, just the facts. Thanks Mike.
