Is that I actually liked Randy. He wasn't my favorite, and yes, we all know that he was written to replace two departing characters, basically two different people wrapped into one. But poor Josh Meyers does not deserve the hate he gets, and his character isn't even poorly acted (but maybe could've been written a little better)
Instead, I feel Randy is unfortunately served as the poster boy for what is an abysmal final season that is being led around by writers who have no clue what they're doing anymore, and its their writing, not randy, that unfortunately drags down the season and by extension, the rest of the series as a whole.
I mean come on, think about it. The hyde-sam marriage, fez and Jackie get together, just as a few examples; that final season is literally the writers throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks and it shows. Randy didn't kill 70s show, the combo of the writers and Topher/Ashton leaving did. Randy wasn't even the worst part of that season, not even close. I do enjoy his character for what it's worth (again not my favorite, but he wasn't bad), but unfortunately he was given the image of all that went wrong that final year and the truth is that the troubles went so much deeper than that.
