Koh Chang & Koh Kood - What's the situation, occupancy and atmosphere this year?

Post Body

Hey! Coming back in march to beautiful Thailand for the third time with my then girlfriend - now wife.

Staying for 5-6 nights on each island.

We are into to relaxing, maybe a bit of drinking why not, good local food, driving the motorbike, a bit of island exploring, bars, good beach time.

In general i would appreciate any useful advice regarding these islands, especially regarding Koh Chang - whats the situation currently, is it empty of tourists completely? Lonely beach is dead or have the crowd returned?

I heard and read Koh Chang has suffered greatly post Covid and lots of places are closed. Is this true?

Also, are there any parties (as in quality electronic music) at Koh Chang, or is it like old man karaoke? Wouldn't mind a bender or two.

I know Koh Kood is only relaxing and chill and thats more than fine with us.

Thanks!
